About Us

In the Summer of 1997 a group of writers who were veterans of many different firearms magazines got together with a group of investors who were Class 3 collectors, and launched Small Arms Review Magazine.

We had a vision of putting out a monthly magazine that covered all aspects of military small arms, from military/law enforcement end users, to collectors, to military historians, to shooters, and designers. This required that we go further in depth than any other magazine that is or was on the market.

With our combined resources around the world, we have been able to get into the back rooms of museums and factories that no one else has been able to, and to bring those stories to our readers.

For over 9 years now, we have brought the readers a new issue every 30 days, just like clockwork. We haven't missed a beat, other than being two weeks late with the issue that occurred during the Ice Storm of 1998- we were blocked in up on the mountain in Maine. It happens! Other than that, our readers can always count on us to be there.

We have oriented the company to making a bigger and better issue every month, and our staff has done miracles in learning and growing. Today, Small Arms Review is read by over 30,000 readers every month, in over 40 countries.
