World War I German Machine Gun Unit Reunion

In 1913, a Bavarian machine gun unit from Nürnberg was formed. Equipped with the German Maxim MG08, they fought bravely throughout World War I from 1914 to 1918. Survivors of the unit formed a club and held a ten year reunion in 1923 and a twenty year reunion in 1933 to commemorate their formation and camaraderie.
